Serpentine Cider and Lost Cause Meadery, Miramar
Excellent mead and excellent cider under one roof in the “ethanol-topia” that is the Miralani Makers District of Miramar. #beeramar #craftbeer #craftmead #craftcider #cider #mead #sdbeer
The world of craft brewing has exploded over the last decade. For me, it all started back in 2011 with Bell’s Two Hearted Ale. That beer opened my eyes of what craft beer should taste like and what I was missing by simply buying cases of Miller Lite.
Now, the amount of options craft beer drinkers have available to them is mind boggling. With over 7,500 local breweries spread out across the United States, everyone has access to some of the best beer you’ll ever have.

Craft Brewery Review #183: A new brewery in an old brewery location. Mission Brewery Plaza is now home to Latchkey Brewing, which took over the space from Acoustic Ales. #craftbeer #history #sandiego #sdbeer #sdcraftbeer
Craft Beer in San Diego Review #180: The Bell Marker Brewery and Kitchen. Good spot, good beer. I’m closing in (again) on completing the list of 184 breweries and tasting rooms in San Diego.
For me, visiting a brewery or tap room is not just about the beer. Of the more than 180 locations I’ve visited in San Diego, here are my 12 favorites—and 10 more, too! This list might be useful if you are planning a #sandiego #beercation #vacation #craftbeer
#LaJolla’s newest #brewpub, CAVU Brewing (originally opened as Absolution by the Sea), offers #craftbeer from the Absolution #brewery in Torrance as well as offerings made here, on the oldest still-operating #brewing system in #sandiego. Check out their awesome patio!
Monthly update on state of #SanDiego #craftbeer. 7 closings & 6 openings in last 5 wks. Most of that related to @GreenFlashBeer foreclosure. Net result: There are now 148 craft breweries in San Diego County, 6 non-craft breweries & 44 tasting rooms/brew pubs for total of 198.
Eppig Brewing’s Waterfront Biergarten in Point Loma might be the nicest setting for enjoying #craftbeer in #SanDiego.
In the San Diego beer scene, at least, failure is only temporary.
The overall number of open San Diego beer locations has stayed the same this month–despite a large number of cases of *re*openings under new names and/or new owners. #craftbeer #sandiego #sdbeer
February 2018 monthly update of the best and most accurate list of #breweries and #tastingrooms in #SanDiego. #craftbeer #beer
RateBeer.com arguably was once the king of beer rating sites. It has undeniably been usurped by Untappd. #craftbeer #beer #beerreviews #breweryreviews
SR76 Beerworks is a about an hour’s drive from San Diego proper. It is worth it for the pleasant views along the way, the comfortable tasting room and the very good beer. #craftbeer #sandiego
Belching Beaver’s main production facility is impressively large, and their beer is reliably very good. #craftbeer #SanDiego
Midnight Jack Brewing in Oceanside is nice tasting room, for a tasting room in an industrial building. The beer I tried was just average. #craftbeer #SanDiego
The race to 150 is still on! With four closings and three openings since my last update, there are currently 148 craft breweries (154 including non-craft breweries) and 198 San Diego beer locations in total (one less than last month). #sdbeer #craftbeer #sandiego #craftbreweries
Savagewood’s beers are very good. Given that it is essentially a brand new brewery, the beers are *very* good. I’m excited to see how they grow over time. #craftbeer #sandiego
ChuckAlek’s brewery in Ramona is not a nice as their North Park biergarten, so I’d save the trip if I were you and just go to their North Park location. #craftbeer #SanDiego
