Beercation? Brewery crawl? Just want to know where to go to get a good beer? We’ve got you covered with our new series on #SanDiego’s best #craftbeer neighborhoods. This edition: North Park.
I’ve agreed on short notice to host BrookstonBeerBulletin.com’s Beer Blogging Friday on 9/7/18. Please help me out by writing a blog by/on Friday on the topic of “Beer and the Good Life”.
San Diego has 207 breweries+tasting rooms! Three closures and four openings since last month’s update. 156 breweries, 37 satellite tasting rooms and 14 non-San DIego brew pubs. #sdbeer #craftbeer
The new Mikkeller tasting room in Little Italy is appropriately minimalist in design, buts its beers are maximalist in flavor. #sdbeer #craftbeer #SanDiego #LittleItaly
Who is AMERICA’S BIGGEST BEER GEEK? Me, apparently! I won BrewDog’s competition!! #beerblog #craftbeer #sdbeer
Amplified E-Vil is going to be a VERY popular place: #craftbeer, food, coffee, full bar, open early and late, ambience, service, location…all excellent. This might be the new “place to beat” in downtown San Diego.
Thirty #craftbeer locations have closed in #SanDiego since the beginning of 2016. All but ten have or will likely reopen under a new name/owner, so the “real” closure rate is only about 3.6 closures per year. Out of the 190+ craft beer locations in San Diego, that’s not very many at all.
California Wild Ales is a blendery that focuses exclusively on barrel-aged “wild” and sour beers. The owners take turns behind the bar, and they are so enthusiastic that this is a “must” experience for any #craftbeer lover. #sdbeer
July 2018 update on the state of #beer in #sandiego #sdbeer #sandiegobeer. As of July 22, 2018, #SanDiegoCounty is home to 157 #breweries, 35 #tastingrooms and 14 #brewpubs, for a grand total of 206 beer locations, 185 of which are San Diego #craftbeer #sdcraftbeer. That’s a net increase of 3 since June’s update.
After being closed for two years and with a slight tweak to the name, Julian Beer Co. has reopened. They are right next to the pie place! #craftbeer #sdbeer #sandiegocraftbeer #applepie
The barrel-aged speakeasy at @AleSmith is a cool little semi-hidden spot to try some rare and exciting beers. #craftbeer #bbastout #barrelaged #sdbeer #sandiegocraftbeer
I am super-excited to tell you that @benchmarkbrewing’s Bay Park tasting room is finally open! Go drink some #beerflavoredbeer #craftbeer #localbeer #sdbeer
Saint Archer is a #sandiego #sandiegobeer #brewery. Since they disappointed #craftbeer fans and sold to MillerCoors, they haven’t gotten much love from #localbeer lovers. Their new tasting room in Leucadia is well executed.
Home Brewing Co. is doubly good: The best home brewing shop in the country, and an excellent place to taste some award-winning #localbeer #craftbeer #sdbeer #sandiegocraftbeer.
Bear Roots’ new downtown Vista tasting room is smash success—beer, service, vibe, everything. Bear Cookie peanut butter stout may be my favorite beer ever. And Downtown Vista is nipping at North Park’s heels as the best beer nieghborhood in San Diego. #craftbeer #sdbeer
I tried (almost) all of San Diego’s fourteen 2017 Great American Beer Festival medalists. #sdbeer #craftbeer #gabf
Need a refreshing beer and a snack while you are at Imperial Beach? Here’s your spot. #sdbeer #craftbeer #imperialbeach
