Idaho Gem is a dual-purpose hop that can be used in all hop additions throughout the brewing process.

Named after its home state, Idaho Gem has rich levels of sweet, fruit-forward aromatic oils make Idaho Gem optimal for late kettle additions or dry hopping in a wide variety of styles, whether alone or in a blend.

Idaho Gem shines with stone fruit, red berry, citrus, mojito, mint, and even powdered sugar aromas. Its flavors are soft and full with a remarkable smoothness, bright and forward impressions of fruit candy (think Juicy Fruit and Jolly Rancher) supported by citric grapefruit notes.

Unfortunately, there is no lupulin powder version of the Idaho Gem hop. Neither Yakima Chief Hops (Cryo/LupuLN2), Haas (Lupomax) or Hopsteiner have created versions of this hop in lupulin powder form yet. Too bad too - it is pure hop lupulin powder, which leads to huge, concentrated flavor when used in the whirlpool or dry hop additions.
