Eppig Brewing, Vista
I’ve got a column on the Eppig brewery in Vista at Coast News. Short version: Awesome location, awesome people, awesome beer. Go there.
As I said in an Instagram post, visiting this new place gave me the feeling that San Diego beer has hit a new level. I’m excited not only for the beers to be produced here, but to see how the existence of this place inspires other breweries to up their game on venue, design, atmosphere, location and service.

The new glassware logo is from the original Brooklyn, NY, Eppig brewery that was founded in the 1880s.
Working hard to put the finishing touches up in time for industry night.
Nathan Stephens, head brewer, already hard at work in the new brewhouse that triples Eppig’s production capacity of their original North Park brewery. Around the time this gets posted, he will be kegging the first beers brewed in the new location.
Watch this space! The beer hall should be ready in time for the Grand Opening on the weekend of Nov. 16, 2019.
