The world of craft brewing has exploded over the last decade. For me, it all started back in 2011 with Bell’s Two Hearted Ale. That beer opened my eyes of what craft beer should taste like and what I was missing by simply buying cases of Miller Lite.
Now, the amount of options craft beer drinkers have available to them is mind boggling. With over 7,500 local breweries spread out across the United States, everyone has access to some of the best beer you’ll ever have.

The 4S Ranch location of Karl Strauss feels more like a restaurant than anything, but the bar regulars prove that this is a genuine #craftbeer venue.

Newtopia Cyder won two of the three medals in the “Specialty Cider” class at the 2017 San Diego International Beer Competition. Impressive, especially for a cidery that has only been open a few months.
If you like dark beers, you will love this little place.
Their OB satellite tasting room is more polished, but the beer is still great at Helm’s Kearny Mesa brewing facility.
