Lost Abbey “The Sanctuary”, San Elijo Hills

The Sanctuary, Lost Abbey’s second tasting room, opened at the end of October 20-19 in San Elijo Hills. It is a lovely room in a lovely village, with front and back patios. And, of course, the beer is great.

About a week before their soft opening, I had the pleasure of chatting with owner and brewer Tomme Arthur while he was putting finishing touches on the new Lost Abbey tasting room in the lovely San Elijo Hills, called The Sanctuary. I wrote that up for Coast News here.

A few days later, they hosted an industry night soft opening. It was a fun event, and seeing the place fully set up convinced me even more than The Sanctuary is going to be a hit. I got some good photos that night, some of which are below.

Gina Marsaglia gave Tomme Arthur a photo from the opening of The Confessional in Cardiff.

BTW, Vince Marsaglia makes awesome tacos, and the best salsa I’ve ever had in my life. I wish it were available commercially.

I enjoyed meeting Skip Virgilio, original founder of AleSmith and now head of brewing at Gravity Heights.
