Karl Strauss Brewing, Carlsbad–A return visit

I first visited this location back in 2017. It has been awhile, so I stopped in for lunch recently. I wrote about my recent visit in my Coast News column, so I won’t repeat everything I said there. TL;DR: It is still a great location, I love the beer, and the food is good. Some additional photos below.

I selected Karl Strauss Brewing as one of my “Underrated San Diego Breweries” last year. They are famous and well-respected, but not nearly as much as their greatness deserves.

The Karl Strauss Carlsbad location also made my list of favorite patios.

Helm’s Brewing, Ocean Beach [CLOSED–Replaced by Two Roots Brewing]

The Helm’s tasting room is a fairly recent and worthy addition to the thriving craft beer scene in Ocean Beach. Offering friendly service, good beers and a perfect location for people-watching, you will enjoy your visit. RECOMMENDED.
