Origin and Geneology of the Sasquatch Hop
Based on a wild Canadian variety first found in Pemberton, British Columbia. It is Canada's first homegrown hop plant. Released to the public in 2018.
Flavor & Aroma Profile of Sasquatch Hops
Sasquatch is a dual-purpose hop that can be used in all hop additions throughout the brewing process.
Sasquatch is Canada’s first patented, proprietary hop, grown only in Canada. Sasquatch is a unique dual-purpose hop with orange, tea, lemon citrus notes with an alpha content between 6.6 to 9%. One of the main reasons it was called Sasquatch is due to the rugged mountain terrain that it was found in as well as the massive hop cones that Sasquatch produces.

Sasquatch Hop Substitutions
If the Sasquatch hop is hard to find or if you are simply out of it on brew day, you can try to substitute it with a similar hop. The old way of choosing replacement hops was done by experience and "feel". There is nothing wrong with that way. However, we wanted to build a data-driven tool to find your Sasquatch substitutions.

Is Sasquatch available in lupulin powder?
Unfortunately, there is no lupulin powder version of the Sasquatch hop. Neither Yakima Chief Hops (Cryo/LupuLN2), Haas (Lupomax) or Hopsteiner have created versions of this hop in lupulin powder form yet. Too bad too - it is pure hop lupulin powder, which leads to huge, concentrated flavor when used in the whirlpool or dry hop additions.
