BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse is not usually thought of as producing craft beer, but in fact it does.
The world of craft brewing has exploded over the last decade. For me, it all started back in 2011 with Bell’s Two Hearted Ale. That beer opened my eyes of what craft beer should taste like and what I was missing by simply buying cases of Miller Lite.
Now, the amount of options craft beer drinkers have available to them is mind boggling. With over 7,500 local breweries spread out across the United States, everyone has access to some of the best beer you’ll ever have.

Align Brewing did a soft-open in May/June 2017. Don’t tell the crowd, they are showing up like it is already fully open.
The chill vibe combined with good beer and the proximity to a bunch of other interesting tasting rooms means Thunderhawk is a place I will definitely return to.
Try flights of the same beer made with different yeasts. *Mind blown.* White Labs supplies yeast to brewers all over San Diego, and all over the US. Their tasting room is a delight, too.

Saint Archer drew the ire of many San Diego craft beer aficionados by selling out to MillerCoors. They still make some good beer.
